What this site is

You Go Words! (yougowords.com) is a free word-reference website: a dictionary, word lists and word-finding tools. You can use every feature without creating an account or providing any personal information.

Information we collect

We do not require or store personal accounts. There is no registration, no login and no user database.

Anonymous usage analytics. We use a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics service to count page views and understand which word lists people find useful. It records the page you visited, an anonymised approximation of your browser and device type, and the country of your request. It does not use advertising identifiers and does not build cross-site profiles.

Server and security logs. Our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request metadata as part of routing, caching and protecting the site from abuse. These logs are used only for operating and securing the service.

Contact form. If you write to us through the contact page, we receive the name, email address and message you choose to send, and we use them only to reply to you.

Cookies

The site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Functional cookies may be set by our infrastructure provider (for example, Cloudflare security cookies) to keep the site fast and safe.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or trade any visitor data.
  • We do not run third-party ad trackers or social-media pixels.
  • We do not profile individual visitors.

Third-party links

Word entries and lists may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy covers yougowords.com only.

Children

The site is an educational reference suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
